Pride Should Be Accessible to ALL, Not Just The Convenient Some
Each June, my inbox and timelines are filled with ads and posts about Pride events and the words "community" and "inclusivity" are thrown around a lot, but they don't match these events. The origin of Pride was INCLUSION, and yet it's very rare to see any Pride event - even the ones who claim to be fringe and non-corporate - make their events fully safe and accessible to disabled and immunocompromised people in their community. We cannot have community - or Pride - if we exclude large swaths of people!Â
